When they could not determine what the source of her pain was they told her it was all in her head. They prescribed anti anxiety and then anti depression meds. That is a terrible thing to do. They were wrong and she was right. The moral of the story is to get a 2nd or 3rd or more opinions. It turned out that she had 2 conditions–colitis and a hernia. She has nether now.

Hi Dr. Snow, I am writing to you with good news finally. Its been 1 month since I had the inguinal hernia repair. I have had no pain or cramping and have had normal stools and have not been on any medications. The pain is completely gone. I’m still shocked that that was what it was. I dont think there are any words to express how grateful I am that I found you and how much I appreciate how you never gave up on me. This and your treatment for my colitis have given me a new lease on life. I am also following your instructions to take the probiotics once I stopped the antibiotics. This has prevented the c-diff which I had several times before. There were countless times I believed I would never be healed and you always believed they would find the answer to the additional pain. You helped me figure out the puzzle. I had colitis and a hernia. It was not in my head. Its been a long 6 years with the last 14 months being some of the most difficult in my life. I know it’s only been a month but I know its fixed. The pain for the 1st time in years is finally gone. There is nothing there anymore. I remember when you told me it sounded like nerve pain and I thought no way but it most likely was fatty tissue and nerves getting caught in the hernia. What you do for people is wonderful and never once did you tell me it was stress or I needed antidepressents. You were the only person that did not tell me that it was all in my head. Now I’m just going to focus on getting back to a glowing health. I’m going to continue taking the probiotics and I’m working with a naturopath to get back to feeling good. Again thank you for helping me and putting up with me because I know at times I was really annoying lol! If theres anything you suggest I should do from this point on let me know, also how long I should take the probiotics. Thanks again for everything,
