Spastic Colon

Have you been diagnosed with a spastic colon? If so— that term is sooooo old school that I would bet that-  your doctor is old. That is a term that was used in the 60′s & 70′s when they were —just as clueless as they are now. What they did in the 80′s was to invent another meaningless term—– IBS. Irritable—– Bowel—- Syndrome. What does that term tell you? Perhaps just an upgrade from spastic colon? All you know for sure-no matter what they call it – is that there is something wrong with your colon  when you have diarrhea—perhaps 6-7-8 or more urgent-loose bowel movements per day. Colitis-UC-Crohn’s-what does this mean to you? You just want a term for a reasonable strategy and resolution to this problem. How about holistic gastroenterology- which stands for a real- alternative strategy that works. Chances are that if your doctor uses that term that–they are young–”new school.”With these old school guys-don’t hold your breath—-they don’t a term for a reasonable “spastic colon” strategy and recovery. Is a reasonable strategy suppressing your immune system and smothering your symptoms with drugs like prednisone? If anything this could make your colon become even more spastic.

As a matter of fact— since I got myself so riled up about this suppressing thing I am going to write a very short post debunking that whole bs strategy —right now. I am going to put on my debunking the bs hat. I will meet you there.
