I had a comprehensive stool analysis that revealed an overgrowth of several pathogenic bacteria. I was also low in lactobacilus and had the leaky gut test performed as well(which came back positive). I have really stuck to a strict diet avoiding most grains and all junk food. I basically did my best to consume as much raw vegetable (vegetable juicing) as possible. And also stuck to raw fruits, olive oils, almonds, coconut oil, organic grass fed beef, lentils, organic eggs, kefir, and salads. I was also taking and rotating different herbs (wormwood, clove, black walnut, oregono, citrus seed extract, olive leef, and goldenseal) I got enough sleep, exercise, a good probiotic as welll as supplements to help build back the intestinal lining. I took glucosamine, colustrum, inulin, spirulina, and aloe vera juice. I have seen improvement but i still have symptoms. what coould i be missing?

Leaky Gut is not what most people think it is- and aslo how to treat it is not such a mystery & hard to heal.  There is a tremendous amount of misinformation about this condition. As for dysbiosis- that just means – indigestion & all that comes with that- bloating- gas ect & even what appears to be"food Allergies" or intolorances. It is also NOT  an immune disease- this is a fallicy- & you do NOT have food particles escaping into your blood stream- if that were the case- you would have greater symptoms – like death. The reason that they find high levels of immune function when they do a blood test is simple- you do have a (manmade) injury to your gut & like any other injury- like say I cut my finger- the immune system gets involved to try to heal this up & prevent an infection. If I cut my finger & the immune system comes to the rescue- did the immune system cut my finger? Do you want a drug suppressing your immune system- when it is trying to help you? No wonder it never heals & they tell you there is no cure. Actually one of the ways to heal any Inflammatory Bowel Condition is to assist the immune system with herbs ect- not suppress it. Don't buy into the bull shit & become a victim.

There is an effective Leaky Gut Syndrome Treatment. Even though it does not typically have the same symptoms as other inflammatory bowel diseases- such as urgent diarrhea and blood in the stool- it does share symptoms like excessive bloating & gas. That treatment is the exact same as colitis or crohn's– repair the damaged tissue by ingesting supplements that it is made of. Just swallow it- & let the body figure it out by delivering it to wherever it is needed. It is that easy.

The symptoms of diverticulitis —- acute abdominal pain- diarrhea-sometimes constipation and nausea- can come on fast & dissipate just as fast. This usually all happens within 24hours. It is typically treated by your doctor in the emergency with antibiotics and as an isolated incident. You go home- you feel good & figure it must have been the spaghetti sauce or whatever. Don’t be fooled- that and diverticulosis are inflammatory bowel diseases (actually not diseases- but manmade conditions) and they do not just go away- they will be back and eventually with bloody stools. Even though you feel hunk-dorry- you must get this treated- otherwise you will be at the emergency room more and more frequently. The best diverticulitis diet- until you get it fixed is low fiber. The diverticulitis cause and diverticulitis treatment is the same as all of the other IBD’s- IBS- Colitis- UC -Crohn’s – Leaky Gut & Gastroenteritis. Don’t be fooled by the hocus pocus b/s that these are all mysterious syndromes and diseases. The next time someone gives you some of that sophisticated rhetoric- just say- “ok smart guy- fix it.” Their definition of fixing it is to send you home with a prescription for antibiotics or prednisone and instructions to eat a high fiber diet! Don’t get fooled again!

So what would you recommend to do? Have you been involved with any patients that have used accutane in the past. There are all types of reports and lawsuits on how that medicine has caused people all types of permanent intestinal damage. They diagnose them with crohn's or colitis. How would you go about restoring and healing from the damage the medicine caused?

Yes, I have. My own understanding of this drug is increasing. It is
completely fixable just like all of the other GI problems. I would need
to know more about your symptoms. There are some unique aspects to the
Acutane treatment.

Please tell me more.

Well for starters I was on the drug for about 6 months where I would say 60mg a day would be the average over the entire course. I could tell you that it cleared my skin up initially (not completely), but it quickly came back not long after and probably worse. It wasn't until I went to a DO and had him test for me pyroluria. I am not sure if you are familar with orthomolecular medicine and that whole aproach, but this physician practiced it. Pyroluria causes your body to be severely deficient in zinc and b6. This is probably 8 months after i stopped taking accutane. I believed there had to be a reason why i was breaking out because I had acne on my chest and back as well. I ate healthy, was in good shape, smart and knew something had to be out of balance. There was really no physician that ever agreed that there was something wrong with my body for having acne. I did a lot of research and that's when I started becoming very interested in alterative medicine and their treatments and becoming more aware of the hyprocrasy and corruption that goes along with mainstream medicine. I started drinking vegetble juices daily andI noticed that help my skin. When I finally came along all the orthomolecular nutrition, I noticed that I can be easily described as having pyroluria and elevated levels of histamine (in the brain). I found a DO in my area that practiced orthomolecualr medicine and made an appointment. I told him a lot about myself and why I felt it would be good to get tested. The pyroluria came back pretty high, but by the time I got the results I had gone back to college. So I had reserached and bought books on the treatments and started typical treatment for it mainly consisting of higher doses of zinc, b6 and then other supplements to maintain proper balance. I noticed a big improvement in my skin once I started taking zinc and a lot of other improvements in my mood, thinking, and energy.

Sorry to ramble on as that is not too relevant, but I wanted to give somewhat of a backround. It has been about 3 years and 8 months from the time i started the accutane and 3 years and 2 months since I finished taking it. I have noticed symptoms that have gradually become more of a concern. I do feel nausea pretty frequently and more so in the morning on a pretty regular basis. My appetite has decreased as well as energy levels. I definitely sleep more and have diarrhea pretty consistantly even though I don't eat as much as I used to. I usually go to the bathroom pretty qucikly after I eat. I can say that my body gets more sore and achy that what is normal and that I get headaches. It sometimes gets hard to concentrate and I feel as if my memory has slipped. I just finished my undergrad in pre-med and am looking to attend medical school so obviously this can be a problem and is something I picked up on. I still do have acne but it is mainly just on my back, shoulder, and chest area. I break out a little on my face but nothing really major. I try to eat pretty well avoiding smost sugars, white flour, and dairy. I don't eat perfect, but I do drink freshly squeezed vegetable juices about five days a week and take a probiotic daily. (I take Garden of Life Raw Probiotic) I know a lot of these symptoms can be swept under the rug and try to be explained as something else, but I am and have always been pretty intuned to my body. I wrestled and competed all through out college and was always a very high energetic person. So I do noticed certain things that may not be typical of me.

Thank you for your time and interest. I have been reading other posts in this blog and have looked over your site and really like what your doing. I don't think I can ever trust mainstream medicine because there are so many errors in it. There are cures to many diseases that they claim there is no cure. There would just be no money to made by curing all those people. I really picked up on this when I researched a lot about orthomolecuar medicine and how they werre healing all these people with mental and behavior disorders and how basically the government stopped this from spreading.

I hope this was useful and again thank you for your time and help.

Ok, do these two things first.  Get some Gum
Arabic/Acacia fiber powder, Mix 1 tbsp with approximately 10 oz of water. Do this
in the  am & pm, at least 1 1/2 hr before or after meals. Get some
colostrum powder, mix 1 1/2 tsp with that.  In 3-4 weeks tell me how your
stomach and skin are doing. Take 3 probiotic caps twice daily.
