Polyps

Polyps are our friend

Polyps in our colon are our friend. They are there to protect you. The conditions that bring them about are un-natural-but THEY are natural. When we have antibiotics that kill off our mucosal lining we no longer have anything protecting the tender skin that lines the inside of the colon. This allows the harsh stomach acids and passing food to make direct contact with it- irritating it and over time causing damage. It is just like if you were digging a ditch w/o gloves (which would be your hand’s mucosal lining) the skin would develop calluses to protect the underlying tissue. This is what happens with your colon. It is there to help you- thank god- or else you would develop a perforated bowel. If you keep digging w/o putting gloves on you will get a blister. That is essentially what ulcerative colitis is. Or even a bleeding ulcer -a peptic ulcer. A polyp is nothing other than extra layers of skin the body puts there to protect itself. So- when you put a “glove” back onto your colon- by replacing the mucosal lining – this now protects the tender tissue and just like your hand- the callus goes away- not needed anymore. This is another example of our body protecting us against the things we do to ourselves.
